Robin Cartwright, W3KAT
District 3 YLs
I have always wanted to be a ham, but my inability to learn Morse code kept me from that goal for a long time. I got my technician license in March, 2014 and my extra in April, 2014. (I don't recommend taking both general and extra exams on the same day unless you're an engineer or in some other technical field. Trust me on this.)
Since getting my ticket, I've become an active member of South Mountain Radio Amateurs of Carlisle, PA. Through them, I've gotten into public service communication and DXing. My goal is to get WAS by this time next year and get a running start on DXCC.
